How MailMeter WorksMailMeter captures messages through a connection to your email server (MAPI for Exchange - Notes API for Domino), indexes the messages into a SQL database, and stores the full message (or just Subject) and any attachments (single instanced - deduplicated) in compressed, encrypted, flat files in standard Windows folders called Archive Volumes (default of 4G in size) that MailMeter automatically creates and manages. MailMeter uses a single database for Compliance, Reporting, Investigative message capture and Storage Management. MailMeter can process mail from any number of email servers - located in the same datacenter or spread out across your network. You can reduce total email storage by taking advantage of MailMeter's single instance storage.
With MailMeter's Total Mailbox licensing, you can place multiple MailMeter servers in your network to correspond to remote locations without additional cost. |
